THE ALLEGED MURDERER OF "CARROTTY NELL"
London, Feb. 19.
Sadler, who is held on the charge of having murdered the woman Carrotty Nell in Whitechapel last Friday, has written a letter to a fellow trade unionist asking that the union urge the press to watch the case closely. Sadler declares that the police are deliberately quashing evidence favorable to him and that they are straining every nerve to hurry forward his conviction. He denies absolutely that he either purchased or possessed or sold the knife, the ownership of which the police attributed to him.
