I had ancestors living at 25 Splidt Street but I can't find it on any old maps or modern maps, does anybody know where it was exactly, as i have seen it mentioned on previous posts.

Many Thanks

Hi Sandie,

Splidt Street runs off Pinchin Street, I believe it is unmarked today but it is still there.

And I took this of Splidt Street last year

All the best

Rob

Thanks so much Rob, you've made my day I have been looking for this for a while now. Now I can see where my Great Grandfather lived - thank you again.

Do you live locally by any chance??

Hi Sandie,

I'm not quite local, but I usually get to the area every couple of months.
Why do you ask?

Hi Rob

I only ask as I have 2 other addresses of houses that my ancestors lived in, in the east end of London. I've traced back to a couple from Poland/Russia (my great great grandparents) that were here in 1891, but they have disappeared by 1901 - very odd!! Anyway I only asked to be cheeky really, that if you lived locally if you'd be kind enough to get piccies of my other addresses. But I was only being cheeky

Hi Sandie,

Nothing wrong with a bit of cheek.

e-mail me the addresses and I'll see what I can do, my e-mail is rclack@supanet.com
