I am interested in ascertaining afew facts about Annie's rings, in respect of what was written about them in 1888. I am after source material.
Source material on this question never gets referred to . I don't know why that should be.
I think the dilemma arises out of the fact that the rings that she supposedly had on her fingers, which were apparently taken either by the Ripper, by local vaigrants or by Police, are only discussed by journalists, and hence there has been debate about whether or not she was even wearing any. Most of all there seems to have been debate about whether she had been wearing three, or two.
I would like to locate all the source material that provoked the scope of this debate.
Can anyone tell me where I can find these individual newspaper reports, and is the ring business mentionned anywhere else? I will re-search for the material in the meantime.
( I hope this does not provoke wild arguementative discussion as sincerely that is not my aim!)
I am very grateful for your kind assistance.
