The Minories

The Minories

Above: The Minories, taken from Aldgate. In one of the letters supposedly written by the Ripper is a warning of a murder in the Minories. It seems likely that the Ripper came up the Minories after the Stride murder, across Aldgate and into Duke's Place, where he met Catharine Eddowes. Also of interest: the shop below the street sign is called "Kelly's". Photograph courtesy of Mr. Adam Wood.
