Casebook Review:
Reader Review:  (177 votes)

Paley spent over fifteen years researching Joseph Barnett as a suspect, culminating in a well-researched and informative book. The section on the social conditions of Victorian Whitechapel is especially valuable. Recommended for readers at all levels, though beginners would do better with Sugden or Rumbelow.
