Is Deeming Insane?

Melbourne, April 4.
Deeming's solicitor has proposed as a defence for his client the plea of instinctive insanity and has telegraphed England for evidence of Deeming's madness when a boy. Deeming has now assumed a bold front and threatens newspapers with libel as soon as he gets out. He says the idea the he is connnected with the Jack the Ripper work is absurd.
