Casebook: Jack the Ripper - Message Boards » Read This First! » FAQ's and Help » How do I post a Link? « Previous Next »

DO NOT just type in a web address if it is more than a a simple name!!

Ex.: http://www.casebook.org is okay
but http://www.casebook.org/victims/mjk/finalhours/blahblah/yad is NOT.

Longer addresses will cause the frame of the page to go askew and make it difficult to read the text. To post a link type /link and put the entire address in the brackets then put a comma and a short name for the link. Ex:

/link {http://www.casebook.org/victims/mjk/finalhours/blahblah/yadayada , Mary Jane}

This will cause the entire link to appear as only:

Mary Jane

*remember: I have left spaces between the \link and the { to show you how it is done. There should be no spaces when you do it.
