Greetings ESM,

You have got more chance selling ice to the Eskimoes of Alaska than trying to convince any ripper follower that Jack the Ripper was a 10 year old boy.He was as you say, The Viena Ripper, and not Jack the Ripper. He may have been, at best, a copycat. Good luck.

Hi ollie,

nice one ;-)

but as you might have recognized I didn't want to convince anyone to believe Schosteritz was the Ripper! I just thought this incident in Vienna is quite interesting and offers some striking similarities to the ripper crimes...

If you browse the casebook boards you'll find several connection to Schosteritz, e.g.

Hi esm,

I'd love to see them. You could post them here, or, if you were interested, you could write them up as an article for Ripper Notes.

Good evening, friends.

Hi Dan,

sorry for the delay.

Interesting to note that when pictures of murder victims are emerging people's interest is caught ;-)

Sorry, but I won't post them here on the message boards and actually I don't think I will write an article for the Ripper Notes, but thank's for the offer.

but btw: the Spilka murder site closely resembles the murder site of Kelly: poorly furnished, position of furnitures (bed directly next to door, table next to bed, etc.) partly resembles Kelly's room, victim lying on a bed on it's back, partly undressed, face towards the room, etc. etc.

I think it would be not very difficult to generate a "kelly murder site"-hoax from this picture.

Greetings from old europe
