H-Division Personnel
Compiled by Simon Wood

There follows a list of 200+ H Division personnel gleaned from Police Orders, MEPO files and press reports from The Times.

It is impossible to be certain that all the officers in the list were part of H Division during all (or part of) the Whitechapel Murders, but the odds are fair based on their dates of service.

As the list stands it is by no means exhaustive, and all errors and omissions are entirely my own. We have only 300+ police officers to go, plus names still need to be added to known collar and/or warrant numbers (or vice-versa). So please PM me if you have any new information, corrections or queries. I will update the list periodically.

Speaking personally, I would like this list to end up as a one-stop reference point for anyone researching H Division personnel during the WM, or for families attempting to trace relatives from the LVP.

My sincere thanks to Stephen Ryder for agreeing to make this an on-going project with provision to correct and update information as it becomes available. Thanks also to Grey Hunter and all the other Casebook posters who have provided such invaluable information.

Regards,

Simon Wood
