Three thousand American women have signed a petition for the release of Mrs. Maybrick. It is the intention to send this
petition to the Princess of Wales and beg her to present it to Queen Victoria. This will obviate its passing through the
hands of the home secretary, who is said to be prejudiced in the matter.
