Hahaha... :-)
You're so good at this, Suzi. Huch is certainly right. Those cat pictures should be printed on T-shirts for the JtR tours.
What an excellent business idea!

Rats! Why do I never come up with this stuff...?

P.S. I have noticed something... all of a sudden the clipart emoticons WORKS!

Hutch,

Feel free to post those wonderful sketches of yours again, if you like (after all, this is your thread...).
It's a shame that they disappear because of the automatic deleting of old posts on Pub Talk.
I already miss Mary Kelly's "Hello".

Maybe all those funny JtR-related sketches and pictures by Hutch, Suzi et.al.
should be posted on a common thread (just the pictures, not the attached dicussions)
in the Creative Writing and Expression department?

Oi! Suzi Hanney!

The T-Shirts is my idea! Glenn was agreeing with me.

I SERIOUSLY want to print a limited edition book to sell just at the Conference of all our artwork and cat related messages. This is no joke. I will need the permission of everyone who has posted something silly on Diddles and excellent quality scans of their cat artwork (Suzi - I'll need scans rather than photos if you can do them). All profits to Casebook. What do you think? Can you imagine how cool it would be to have it listed as a Ripper rarity in an updated Strachen Handbook?! This idea HAS to run. I am totally committed to it.

The T-shirts was meant to be just one for myself, but damn it we can print off a whole batch of them!

In relation to 'losing' the old shots I had no idea they went. I thought they were archived.

SPRY - important! Could you PLEASE give me access to all the previous postings on this thread? I take it they are still available somewhere?

I really want to work on this book. Genuine. For God's sake don't tell me it has all been lost. I would seriously be gutted. It'd be such a waste.

I have to dash out now. I am going to a film festival (I'm in 2 of them!) then I have an all night ghost hunt at Ham House in Richmond.

Please, folks, let me know what you think of this, and petition Spry to reinstate all this stuff and keep it as an active and accessible permanent strand. The Diddles experience is one far too good to dispose of!

Sounds like good plans to me indeed, Hutch.
I think they're all good ideas and they get my support anytime.

Philip,

I think it's a great idea! It does help to have a "Lighter Side" to my Ripper life. Otherwise I just go around in circles..

I definitely want a tee shirt, and a copy of the book (signed by all at the conf, that is, as it's doubtful that I'll be able to make it there).

Thanks for the laughs, Suz!

Love,

Lyn

Folks, just sent this e-mail to Spry.

Please let him know how you feel. It's a winnner.

"Steve

I take it you have been reading the pub talk thread on cats & the Ripper?

It has taken off in a big way and I want to put together a private book of it to sell at Brighton with the profits going to your site.

They have all been wiped off!

PLEASE will you set up a permanent thread for these? There's quite a few of us who don't want them to go. They need to be archived - and if they are gone, we can't do the book and you ain't gonna get the money! We need all these comments and pictures reinstated before it is too late - 2 lots have now been removed and they (some of them) took a lot of work!

RSVP ASAP please!

PHILIP"

EVERYONE : Cats RIP.

Spry has just e-mailed me. The system deletes them automatically when they reach a certain size & there is no way to recover them.

He has given permission to start a new thread on Creative Writing etc and I will do that now.

I still have my offerings. The art is not lost, but all our statements to support them sadly are, so we will all need to recall what we put or start afresh.

Please put any cat stuff on the new cat thread. A cat's cradle if you will.

Pub talk is trivial. Ripper cats are priceless!

I have to go out now, but I will start the strand any second and then I'll repost the minimalism tomorrow.

Suzi - if you ain't got a scanner we can arrange for you to post me all yours and I will scan them in. The book ones may be more difficult, which is a shame as they are my favourites!

PHILIP

See you on the new thread!
