On the cover: The front is a detail from "Ludgate
Hill, Looking from Fleet Street - The Newspaper Row of London"
which ran in an 1897 issue of Collier's Weekly. The full
image can be seen on the cover of Alan Sharp's forthcoming London
Correspondence: Jack the Ripper and the Irish Press. The first
pages of two of the Norman Hastings news articles are on the back
cover. The background for both sides is a November 10, 1888, report
in the Times about Mary Jane Kelly's death.
