The letter stated that the killer had just arrived from Boston, whence he had come from London, and declared he was going to kill seven or eight women in Halifax.
Possibly connected to case of John Langhorn, arrested about 10 days later in Montreal. On his person was found a letter signed Jack the Ripper.
