"A man signing himself Jack the Ripper wrote a letter to the police here last week stating his intention to slaughter fifteen Berlin women in the same manner as those murdered in Whitechapel, and to put to the test the vaunted ingenuity of the Prussian detectives who are making strenuous efforts to discover the writer.
