FRANCE.

PARIS, May 28.

On the arrival of the steamship Paraguay from Buenos Ayres at Dunkirk to-day a passenger, named Jean Tremblier, was arrested on a charge of murdering a woman at Buenos Ayres in a manner resembling that of Jack the Ripper. The body was not, as the authorities expected it would be, found in his boxes, which, however, contained a quantity of Argentine copper money that it is supposed he intended to pass in France. He expressed surprise at the charge, stating that he had heard of the murder before sailing.-Our Own Correspondent.
