UNIVERSITY INTELLIGENCE.

CAMBRIDGE, Feb. 7.

At King's College the prizes for an English essay have been adjudged as follow:-1. J.K. Stephen; 2. J.P. Whitney and A.R. Ropes, equal in merit; honourably mentioned-N. Lawson, R.B. Raffies. The prize for reading in chapel has been adjudged to Arthur John Maclean, scholar of the College.

At Trinity College a prize for Latin Alcaics has been adjudged to A. M'Namara, formerly of Harrow School.

The work for analysis by candidates for the degree of Doctor of Music on March 12 is Beethoven's Sinfonia Eroica.
