THE WHITECHAPEL MURDERS

London, July 27.

William Brodie, the man who, while in a state bordering on delirium tremens, stated that he had committed the murders and mutilations of women in and about the Whitechapel district, was today discharged from custody, there being no evidence on which to hold him and physicians pronouncing him sane. He was immediately arrested, however, on a charge of fraud.
