Ally,

Thank you so much for acting to protect my family and I. I support your decision and trust your judgement 100%, and don't really see where you had another choice in this matter.

Respectfully,

David

Ally,
Get your facts right and dont accuse me of having a hand in a situation which I was not responsible for. Your the one who wants to grow up when you banned Graziano I placed a post asking what had become of him and you deleted that post and informed me that anyone who mentioned his name would be banned !!!! If that was not childish I do not know what is. Also it has nothing to do with you what goes on off of these boards. If Radka behaved himself the situation would not have arose and he only has himself to blame. As for Radka who are you his mother ?

Radka,
You only have yourself to blame for the comments directed at you. Look at yourself before criticising others you only reap what you sow and little Mr innocent you certainly are not.

Edwards,

Oh..so you weren't the one posting on the boards that you wanted to hire someone to beat up a person here with mental illness? And the person who took you up on it wasn't the exact same someone who is now banned for sending threatening emails?

Your immature locker room BS contributed. And since you seem to think that I threatened to ban anyone that mentioned Graziano, guess this is bye bye for you isn't it?

Ally,
Obviously I am not going to exchange unpleasant words with you concerning the fact that I disagree with the decision that was made with respect to the banning of two posters, however I would like to point out that my private email address was accessed by a poster, who had no business whatsoever to have same. This person emailed me to ask me not to post or answer a certain person, due to the topic, since he thought this would go on indefinately. Funny that the person who emailed me is one who goes on and on and on. He had no business emailing me at my personal email address, nor did he have the right to tell me what to or not to post. Please ensure that this person nor any others except for those like yourself who should have access, does not in the future email me. You agree that no one should have Mr. Radka's personal email address and I most certainly agree, but I expect to receive the same benefit of privacy as Mr. Radka,
which I did not receive in the past.
There is no disrespect meant toward you, which I hope you realize.
thank you julie

Julie,

The address in question which resulted in a ban was not the person's email address, it was their home address where they live. This is why there was a ban.

If you do not wish people to email you, then you need to remove your email address from your profile. I cannot prevent people from getting your email address if you leave it in your profile. Directions for removing the email address from your profile are in Read This First: Applying for an Account. If after reading this you still have any questions regarding how to do it, please feel free to email me and I will assist you further.

If anyone from the boards is harassing you via email, you can email me as well and the case will be looked into it.

Regards,

Ally

Myself, I've always found access to email addresses one of the nicest features of Casebook. Very helpful if you want a question cleared up, and I've found (with a couple of exceptions) people to be patient, friendly and helpful. In fact, thru Casebook, I've developed several friendships, which I value a great deal.

Cheers,
Dave

Let me make one thing perfectly crystal clear--

I am NOT the person julienonperson is complaining about above. I have NEVER had any contact with julienonperson off the Message Boards system.

There are people here who I'm sure would connect the presence of my name in the above post with what is being complained about there. Knee-jerk reaction.

Have a good day,

David

And let me also say that I support one hundred per cent the proposition that the administrators of this web site have the perfect and absolute right to ban anyone they please from it at any time. That includes me. Being banned is the same as being here; the host and the hostess are both sides of the coin.

I assume Julie is talking about me, considering how she has made it known that she dislikes me and because I did try to email her once.

Several weeks ago when Julie was still new here, I was discussing something on a thread when Radka chracteristically showed up to throw insults at me personally instead of trying to debate the points being discussed. I think it may have been the thread in which he falsely claimed that I called other people "pedophiles" and equally outrageous names if they didn't agree with me, but I don't recall if it was that specific instance or one like it.

Julie then started posting about how rotten she thought I was. I was pretty shocked, as it came out of nowhere. I figured Julie, as a new person inexperienced with the personalities here, should be told not to believe something just because Radka had said it. I also thought that I should point out that if she were trying to foster friendliness on the boards that making attacks herself instead of sticking to the topic was not the best way to do it. So I did as the Personal Attacks Policy for the boards states: "If you have qualms with what someone did personally, take it to e-mail."

The email was a one-time attempt to personally defend myself against Radka's accusations and to encourage her to avoid adding to the nastiness that was then escalating beyond control on the boards. Because she didn't respond, I never tried emailing her again.

I only wish more people would try taking personal arguments to email instead of constantly airing them on the boards for everyone to see.

Dan

1. If a person's email is listed in their profile, then one can reasonably assume that they are open to receiving emails.

2. If you send an email to a person and they do not respond or email you back saying not to email them again, then don't email them again.

3. Personal arguments should be taken to email and Dan did good by attempting to do so and I thank him for attempting to keep yet another personal argument from erupting on the boards.

4. If you have problems with a person and their email address is not displayed, you can email me to resolve the situation. If you email the person directly, common sense would dictate that you not threaten the person or tell them what they can or cannot do on the boards. Suggestions such as "generally you don't want to do so and so on the boards " or "you might want to read the rules which state..." are fine and could be helpful to a newbie. Don't order anyone to do anything, that's not your job. Don't threaten, even in implication.

Whatho Monty,

Oh I do agree with you. I'm fed up of these mardy boggers having their fights on interesting threads and thus destroying them. Why can't they just meet somewhere with handbags blazing and leave the rest of us alone to enjoy the delights of these boards?

Cheers Mark

Mark,

Cos nothing else exists in their worlds apart from their egos, pomposity and reputations.

All of them itelligent...I just wish they'd use it for something other than 1upmanship.....it gets sooo teadious.

But I am commiting the same sins as they by posting this off topic post.....but when in Rome eh ?
