Hi, Chris:

I have seen the superimposed photograph of Mansfield showing "Hyde" behind "Jekyll" before. The sketch of MJK with the photographer taking her picture is also standard, although the other sketch of Miller's Court is new to me. Isn't it interesting that in the sketch of MJK with the photographer, the artist gave her face features that were not visible on the corpse, as proven by the crime scene photograph? More proof that we should not rely on these contemporary drawings as evidence of what the crime scenes actually looked like.

Thanks for posting these screen-shot photographs, Chris. I envy your technological skills.

Best regards

Chris

Hi Chris
Thanks for the comments and I totally agree that this highlights how carefully we have to treat contemporary evidence. The other sketch of Miller's Court intrigued me but I know nothing of its provenance and it only featured very fleetingly in the program. As some of the luminaries of Ripperology were interviewed in the program (Stewart Evans, Martin Fido, Don Rumbelow, Bill Waddell et al) maybe someone can tell me where this second sketch originated from and if the original shows more of the room at Miller's Court.
As to my technological skills (!!!) I fortunately have a neat little device (a Belkin video bus) which means I have to do is put VCR on pause and click one button on the PC:-) Thats how I like technology!!!
Any feedback on the second Miller's Court sketch would be gratefully received

Chris the pictures are great. It seems that more and more bits and pieces crop up over time. One
day maybe it will be solved. I'm surprised that
Mansfield isn't higher up on the ripper suspect
list.

I hope you will pass on the name of the person who
you suspect is the author of the diary, providing
of course that you can without getting in hot
water.

I think you are a gentleman Chris, and treat the
recent newcomers in a patient and helpful manner,
as you did me. Thank you.
regards
julie

Howard,

Sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you are
ok. Your car can be replaced, but your life can't.
I hope your little princess is over her fright.
If not, I am sure she will perk up soon with
Xmas not far away.
Take care
julie
