To our hosts and all interested,

I got a recent copy of "Stern" in Germany. Stern is a news magazine between Life and Time. A couple of weeks back there was an article on Mrs. Cornwalls book with photos. The best bit came at the end. Guess which internetsite they mentioned for obtaining good and objective information? Yes you got it www.casebook.org! So more hits from Germany should be noticed. Stephen and Ally - grab a glass of champagne - you deserve it!

Heya Philip,

Cool. Thanks for the mention and I would do the champagne but nothing goes in until I finish the gallon of coffee I require a morning.

Hi all,

Let me echo the praise for the Casebook. It's a wonderful resource to read varying views by celebrated researchers of the case!

If everyone really appreciates the Casebook, then you could send them a few bucks once in awhile so that Stephen won't keep having to sell off his Ripper collection to pay the bills.

And, yes, I do put my money where my mouth is.

WTM,

Great idea. Thanks for giving me the idea to look for a donation page on the site. I don't think I'd ever seen it before.

I think I'll make a post on the pub boards to let people know about the donations and other ways to support the site since Stephen and Ally don't hype them all that often.

Also, I'll try to remember to attach a signature to my posts here.

Dan

Hello, Dan:

Good man there - and great idea likewise. I must say that if I were running this site I would make that donations page the first one you would see upon logging in. Not only does Stephen not do that, he hides the thing where almost no one ever looks. It is also obvious that Alegria is not in charge of revenue, eh?

The welcoming message in the chat room also implores all the entering chatters to send in a few odd bucks to help out, but I can't say that it has ever done any good.

So, good folk, think of all the good that this site does Ripperology and all of the enjoyment that you have derived from it. Then get out that checkbook!

Well you know I did try to get him to put a link with a picture of a gyrating female there on the left side that said Tip Here but he wouldn't go for it. I think your posts might have managed to convince him that small little link on the left menu (without the whirling woman) would not be tacky.

Thanks guys,

Ally

Somebody asked somebody to ask me to ask you,so think about it,you gutsy and fiercely independent woman......Howard The Schmoozer and Fellow Sagittarian

Howard,

Darling, if I were still in my college days when I did such things, I wouldn't hesitate but now I am a mother of two (canine-- but still..) and couldn't possibly.

I do miss dancing though...sigh. I was talking with another poster about hitting the clubs at the next Baltimore conference, so if you wish to see me gyrate, guess you'll have to come. I am damn good, she says with no modesty whatsoever.
