What about Jacksters ? A female Jackster might be called a Jacksy ? ( sorry ! )
Kominski's Juwesh Army sounds like a great name for a band , or a revolutionary organisation.
Who was Manual Delbast ? ( sorry for my ignorance )

Once again:

Emmanuel Delbast's Violinists.

Larkins couldn't have been entirely wrong.

Hi all,

I just couldn't resist adding my own bit of foolishness here. My top three choices are:

1. Miller's Court Jesters

2. Delbast's Manual Violinists

3. The Whitechapel Vituperation Committee.
(My very own and I demand that it be included with the other choices, lol.)

Best regards to all,

Nick

Hi Nick,

I voted for Miller's Court Jesters, but I put it in second place.

Hope all's well.

Love,

Caz

Hi all,

My sincere apologies for not having responded sooner but I've been a bit under the weather and haven't been following the boards regularly. I always tried to stay current on all the message board discussions since you can get overwhelmed with the backlog quite easily. Now that I'm starting to feel a bit better, I've really got my work cut out for me.

First, to Caz and Joseph and everyone else who sent such encouraging messages and good wishes, let me thank you most sincerely. I was touched and deeply grateful but I have great difficulty putting into words just how much this has meant to me and how to express my gratitude. I don't take such sentiments lightly, so please accept my heartfelt thanks.

I must confess to a certain amount of disappointment that my submission of 'The Whitechapel Vituperation Committee' hasn't received the gales of support that I expected but it's offset by the fact that Caz liked 'The Miller's Court Jesters' enough to rate it number two.

I'm glad to be back with you all (actually I'm glad to be anywhere as the great George Burns used to say) and hopefully I'll be able to return to studying the case and following the message board discussions more diligently along with you wonderful folks.

Best regards to all,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Glad you're out of danger and back in Danger.

Have a wonderful weekend and catch up soon with all those posts. If I could say vituperation without getting my tongue all twisted, I might have plumped for than one too! :-)

Love and best wishes,

Caz

Hitch,

How about:

Ripperoos, Rippies, Jackers, Rippos, Ripptons, Ripptors, Ripptonians, Rippublicans, Demojacks, Ripptorys, Labouripps, Conservajacks, Jackoripps, Rippmongers, Ripperlutionaries, Rippteks, Ripperpolitan PD, or The Ripposse.

A couple of years ago I suggested we come up with a collective name for posters on these boards. I don't think we ever arrived at consensus. (Why am I not surprised!) What should we call ourselves? (I had suggested Dorset St. Irregulars or The Whitechapel Vigilance Committee or Lusk's Volunteers.)

A collective name for Ripperoligists would definitely be an "Anorak."

How about the "Rednecks".

Incidentally is it well known that the initial letters of the canonical victims' surnames is an anagram of necks?

Another conspiracy???
How about this - the initails of the 1st 3 victims (if you include the "Long" nickname of number 3) spell out
MANACLES

Surely another conspiracy there???!!!

I've always used the term "Casebookworms" for us as a collective. If you like it, use it, if not, come up with your own.
