Is it possible for someone to provide information on the police oil lamp of the 1880s , worn at the belt or carried in the hand.
I particularly want to know about the strength of the beam and how much it might illuminate at 50-70 ft away ( this is a direct reference to PC Harvey and the Mitre Square killing ).
