It was in the headlines of the Kansas City Star this morning that a guy had been arrested for the strangulation of 12 women since 1977 based upon DNA.

There is supposed to be a press conference this morning with more information.

The following are not related to the KC strangler referenced earlier but we have just finished one bizarre murder case in KC involving murder and cannabalism. This was the case of Marc Sappington. There is an article already at Crime Library regarding this case.

http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial_killers/weird/sappington/1.html

Another case is unfolding currently. So far, the bodies of 6 women have been found in approximately the same area, abandoned in vacant lots or buildings. The police are being mum about it, only saying that they think it is the work of one killer and that the women lived "risky lifestyles."

The most current information for this crime may be found at:

Best of wishes,

Billy

Yikes, who would have thought that Kansas City would rival the Seattle area for numbers of serial killers on the loose?

I am quite sure that it really thrills the local Chamber of Commerce. Perhaps almost as much as when the local entrepreneur wanted to purchase Berdilla's "house of horrors" as a museum. Sheesh, next thing that you might see will be John Robinson pimping some internet S&M chatroom, or, extolling the virtues of some brand of 55 gallon drum.

At least the good news is that Berdilla is dead and Robinson & Sappington have been convicted.

Best of wishes,

Billy
