Hi

Can someone explain to me why the book is selling for $85.00. I know this is a rhetorical question, unless the author happens to catch this post.

Gary,
It seems expensive to me. I bought a copy in my local Waterstones a couple of months ago for £9.99p. (about USD15) and it is still available over here.
Perhaps the copy you refer too is a signed first edition or something?

Regards,
John Savage

Gary
I bought it a few months back from the net. Very strange - it is on amazon.com at $75.00 but on amzon.co.uk at £7.99. Some price difference - don't understand that even if the higher price is the hardback

Thanks Chris and John

I will check amazon.com.uk. The booksellers over here are trying to give us a real soaking from what I can tell.

I paid £9.99 for the paperback at Borders in Charing Cross Road and the book physically fell apart before I finished reading it!

Hi all.

This was a main reference source for me before I started buying loads of the others. It does have a few errors in it, but I happen to think it is a rather good book.

I have no positive idea why copies would be sold in the US for such huge sums. This will most likely be, I would have thought, for 1st edition hardbacks.

I bought a copy in Waterstones in the UK for £10, and then replaced this paperback with another paperback copy I won on eBay for about £5, as it was signed. The copies have had a great deal of use and are still intact. Andy, there must be glue solvent in your fingertips! Either that or Borders sold you a duffer.

Now - the question is : by accident, or are they just malicious?
