This thread,the second of four, will cover his return from the Italian campaign in late 1860 or early 1861 up to the statement in the 1994 book,by the late Melvin Harris, The True Face of Jack The Ripper [ O'Mara Books ], in which Stephenson has been assumed to have recieved a venereal disease or other affliction, and his loss of his job at The Customs House in Hull.
