Hi Phil,

What? You mean you knew James Maybrick was the ripper before the diary emerged?

Could you please reveal who Mrs Hammersmith is meant to be?

Love,

Caz

Phil,

If you wish to answer Caroline, I suspect you might want to do it on the thread devoted to her last question. It begins here: http://casebook.org/cgi-bin/forum/show.cgi?tpc=4922&post=84496#POST84496

That way yet another thread outside of Diary World won't be hijacked by this nonsense.

Best of luck,

Yo,
that wasnt what he was saying. but you know what john, I agree with you about the hijacking issue.

Which is why i put forward the case for a universal maybrick thread. We only need one!!

Hi Jenni,

Yep, I agree that wasn't Phil's point -- Caroline was just trying to start something, I guess.

And I think you're probably right about only needing one Maybrick thread. It could easily cover everything, since only a few people regularly write in Diary World anymore anyway.

Let's take any further discussion down there to the basement,

Good idea, Jenni. This is getting way off the subject again. Best to have a separate Maybrick Thread, because ,as Warren Zevon said a few years back"

Wow, have you lot had a humour bypass? I'm sure Phil realised I was having a joke with him about his Maria-like 'ABSOLUTELY NOTHING we didn't know before' comment.

And does John have to flaming well follow me around like a lost sheep? Is there ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I can say, even in jest, in response to someone else's diary observations, without him being right up my backside within a downright unhealthily short time?

It's getting ridiculous. Back in 2001, John would have seen the joke and appreciated it.

Love,

Caz

Oh.

Right.

Of course.

Very funny.

Sorry I missed it.

For those interested, Eddie has graciously moved the discussion to Jenni's new Universal Maybrick thread, where this all belongs.

Join us there for more uproarious stuff like this.

PS: Caroline is right. Back in 2001 I would have laughed my ass off. But that was before the shocking new twist of 2003! Nothing's been the same since then.

Hello, Caz

Yes, it's getting pretty crazy in the Maybrick area. I'm putting my helmet on !!
Anyway, the kids are pushing me. (and they are spolied). They know I can be talked into things very easily. I might have to put a message or 2 on the Boards to get people running for the books that are already out. But I would like to wait and see what Shirley Harrison says first. I haven't heard from anyone about this. Hopefully, the e-mails got through ok.

Yours Truly,

Eddie

Phil

If you want an update about what I'm talking about here, please send me a message. I will gladly help you out.

Yours Truly,

Eddie

p.s. Are you related to the Race Driver ?

Hi Eddie,

It has always been crazy there - I've been told I am a bad girl for reminding people of the reason why I won't be bullied into stating my 'position' or expressing an opinion these days, and now I don't have to remind anyone; John does it for me.

He has appointed himself my unpaid public relations guru and, like David Walliams's character, fawning all over Anthony Head's PM in Little Britain, he can't leave me alone for two minutes.

And I thought the British had a monopoly on eccentricity!

Love,

Caz

I'm placing my head on the chopping block and saying what I feel at this moment.

JtR is a myth, The murders were carried out by three different people.

I'm now retiring out of the firing line before I get hit.

Hi John,

Hmm a list of zero-we'll be into negative numbers next. The person who killed Chapman and Eddowes is JTR no matter who killed the others.

"I mean who is voting, one part of me thinks James Maybrick #1 not regular frequenters of these baords! I mean experience tells me no regular frequenters of these boards think that!"

I think it can fairly be said that the message boards haven't done a particularly good job of dissuading John Q. Public that Maybrick and Sickert ain't the real deal.

Robert,

Aha! Double negative -- so you wrote the GSG. And all this while . . .

No Eddie, I don't want an update. There's nothing to update me on - unless it's the revelation that the Diary has no provenance. (That's news?)

As for your photographs, I'm laughing to much to take anything you say seriously.

And you must be as old as I am if you recall the racing driver.

Two what?

The person who killed Chapman and Eddowes (assuming it was one person) was Jack the Ripper no matter what?

Surely that is dependant on what we think JtR means?

Mrs Hammersmith is another meaningless name in a meaningless document. With no proven provenance beyond Barrett why bother?
