Just a question concerning a less important aspect:
Martha Tabram was identified by Henry Tabram and Mary Bousfield.
MEPO 3/140/4 and the press give her name as Bousfield, MEPO 3/140/3 gives it
as Luckhurst (without first name). Why? The names are completely different...

My suggestion: Mary Bousfield was the landlady at "The STar Public house",
Mrs Luckhurst was an employee. Both knew Tabram, both could have identified Tabram.

Could anyone be so kind and check the census, if there is a fitting person named Luckhurst?

Thanks and greetings from Germany...

esm,

Mrs. Bousfield and Mrs. Luckhurst were the same person. The following link on the casebook will give you more details.

Hi Nina,

thx for the reply. I know that usually they are regarded as one person. But actually there is no proper evidence for it. I'm just wondering about these two completely different names. I think there is quite a possibility that Luckhurst and Bousfield are indeed two different person.
However, not very important, but I would really appreciate if someone could check the census.
