Hi all

I read in the Casebook-Cd’s forum a post of Jeff D (general discussion\general topics\Crime Scene. Posted 31 january 2002). In this message he talk about a Mrs. Fiddymont who had give his testimony on Chapman’s murder. In this testimony she describes a man that she saw the morning of the murder. My question: Where is that story? I searched in the Casebook but I can't find it. Anyone can help me?
Thank

Donato,

Mrs. Fiddymont was the proprietor of the Prince Albert Public House, which was known locally as a "clean house" she claimed that on the morning of Annie's murder he came into the pub and sat, having breakfast. He was observed to have blood on his hands, and seemed to fit the description of the killer.

I seem to recall that the people in the pub stared at him so much that he eventually left, and was followed by someone (not her) . . . she spoke at an inquest if I'm not mistaken, and spoke to the press ad nauseum. To the point, I believe, that the police stopped listening to her and chalked her up as an attention seeking crank.

This is all off the top of my head, so all information should be taken with a grain of salt. I know she has an entry in the A-Z if you care to know more about her.

Hope any of this helps.

-K

Thank Jon, Kris

your informations are very useful, even if, seeing that Kris wrote, this woman was a bad witness for searching the real identity of our Saucy Jacky. Realy it’s hardly to think that a man as Jack came blood-clad, in front of some people, on the morning of his “work” on Anne Chapman. What do you think about?
Thank
