GREAT BRITAIN

London, May 8.
An evening paper prints a column article alleged to be based upon the police inquiries and suggesting that an ex-soldier named Grainger, a native of Cork, is the real Jack the Ripper. Grainger is now serving a ten years term of penal servitude for stabbing a woman in the Whitechapel district last March.
