London, July 17.
It is stated that a letter was received by the police officials previous to last night's murder in Whitechapel, signed Jack the Ripper, wherein the writer intimated that he was about to resume his work.

The police are on the lookout for Jack the Ripper, who has again made his appearance at Whitechapel. It is stated that the government will offer a high reward for his capture.
