IN WHITECHAPEL

The popular district, the scene of London's latest sensational murder, is swarming with detectives who are endeavoring to elucidate the mystery surrounding the death of the strangled woman. The murderer evidently used a short catgut string with handles on the ends similar to the "nippers" used by American policemen to enforce locomotion on refractory prisoners and the belief is growing that the woman is another victim of Jack the Ripper, who has changed his method of doing business.
