THE CHIEF COMMISSIONERSHIP OF THE LONDON POLICE

The Cabinet on Saturday decided to recommend to the Queen the name of Mr Monro for the Commissionership often Metropolitan Police. Up to last evening no official ratification of the appointment had been received.
