AUSTRIAN TOWN IN PANIC

Vienna, Oct. 14.
Telegrams from Linz, capital of upper Austria, on the Danube, report that the inhabitants of that district are in a state of terror owing to a series of "Jack the Ripper" murders. The fifth occurred yesterday. The victim, a woman 50 years of age, was assaulted before she was killed.
