THE WHITECHAPEL MYSTERY.

NO CLUE YET.

The police have not yet obtained a decisive clue to the murderer of the young woman named Martha Turner, whose body was found in a house in George-yard-buildings in Whitechapel-road. It appears that on the night of Bank Holiday several soldiers were seen drinking in a public-house a couple of minutes' walk from George-yard-buildings, and it is said that Turner and another woman well-known in the district were seen in company of these men. It is stated that in consequence of inquiries set on foot by the police and the military authorities two soldiers have been placed under arrest at the Tower.
