I have two questions which I would appreciate help with:
1) Which letter(s) were/are kept in the Black Museum rather than the Public Records office?
(I think it is the Dear Boss letter and the Saucy Jacky postcard)
2) The Dear Boss letter was returned anonymously in 1988 but I am trying to get some idea of when it was last reported as being seen prior to its disappearance.
the reason for this is that I found the item below from a newspaper listing of TV programmes for 30 March 1971 for a documentary about Scotland yard which specifically mentione a "taunting letter" - could this be the postcard and was this in the Black Museum throughout?
Any help arppreciated.

Hi Chris

I know Sir Arthur Conan Doyle visited The Black Museum on 2nd December 1892 and saw the original Dear Boss letter. I vaguely remember an old documentary about the Black Museum from the late eighties and they had on display the reproduction of the Dear Boss letter and Saucy Jacky postcard.
Wasn't the letter returned with some documents on Crippen? if so it may suggest they went missing after 1910/11.

All the best

Rob
