Mary Kelly was supposed to have lived at Breezer's Hill near Pennington Street and Ratcliffe Highway. The same info comes from Mrs. Carthy, the landlady, and Mrs. Elizabeth Pheonix of 57 Bow Common Lane, Burdett Road, Bow, who says Kelly lived at her brother-in-law's house. So presumably Mrs Pheonix and Mrs. Carthy were sisters. Has anyone checked this out. It could be a good indication of how accurate the reports of Kelly's histories are. Also, both women seem to describe her as Welsh, not Irish. She could well have invented the Irishness at a later date to woo Barnett, who was a Londoner with Irish roots.
