Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if the hospital has records from the 1800's? if so has anyone looked through them for admissions for JTR related people?

Regards,
Greg

Greg
the London Hospital on Whitechapel Road is at the core of much research taking place at this moment.
Up till now I haven't been able to find any admission records, though I do believe they do exist and are available at the Metropolitan Archives. Robert might be able to inform you better on this.
Up till now we have been more interested in the people who were involved in the administration of the hospital, charity and other committees, but your point is a valid one.
Some of the medical reports associated with the crimes were certainly produced by staff members of the London Hospital.
My own present interest in the London Hospital on the Whitechapel Road is in just who owned the land it was built upon.

I just thought, if the people involed had been admitted for whatever reason, perhaps a more detailed background could be formed from them. Mainly thinking of Mary Kelly but could be attributed to any victim or suspect.

Greg.
