my question has to do with the movie From Hell. my question is about the symbol that is on jack the ripper's case and on all the rings. if anyone knows anything about the symbol please let me know. im just wondering if it really means anything of if they made it up for the movie. thanks-

I believe what you refer to is a symbol of Freemasonry.

It is a masonic symbol, but as a mason myself even I spotted alleged references to masonry that they got totally wrong.
