Curious as to whether or not there are any fellow VdGG fanatics out there in Ripperdom? I'm flying over for the show.

I'm aware of VdGG, though not a fanatical fan of theirs. I think I have one vinyl album and a cassette tape of another title. They reminded me quite a lot of King Crimson, Gong, Go, and Nektar. Good band, highly inventive, and well worth a listen for the electronic music / Alternative fan.
