Shame!!!! but my long gone Mum always used to say 'Poor old Crippen'..............having done the reading I must admit I agree with her!!!!! Could YOU have lived with the lovely Belle? Mr Marconi had a lot to answer for I reckon!!! And as for Miss le Neve.......should have met up with Mr C a lot earlier I reckon...pre Belle days!Happy (happier) endings all round then I reckon!
Cheers

Suzi

Yes it was quite revelatory especially the bit about Winston Churchill pocketing the letter sent to Crippen from his wife "apparently " by then in Chicago in an effort to save his life.He never even got to know it existed!
Did a few bewildering things really-let the anarchists fry in a house that was on fire refusing entry to the firsemen who had come to put it out.And some other odd stuff I"vwe read about-mind his dad went a bitoff in the end what with allegedly dying from syphilis and being suspected by some of being JtR!I suppose if youv"e come through such dysfunctional parenting its bound to have left some scars.

Poor Crippen, indeed. It is a shame that Harvey didn't have the stones to toss La Belle's ass out on the street. If he had stayed in place and not chopped the old girl up, he probably would have not drawn the noose Neil PS- Hi Suzi, how goes it in Portsmouth?
